We're going IEM anyone here use 'em? What ear buds should I get? Dre Beats are supposed to be good, but what are my options here my niggaz?

All I have heard about the Beats is that they are good enough but way overpriced. They are made in collaboration with the fine folks over at Monster though, who do sell the highest quality of cables in town.

price does seem to be up there, but I don't use buds normally, I would probably go a cheaper route to start with...

looking for ideas here

Etymotic Research er6i. Me band uses them. Really good isolation- I think 26db? Sound is kickass; they are a good 'phone to begin with.

What I've heard re: the Beats echoes Dev's statement. Not bad 'phones, if bass-heavy (surprised?), but yer paying for the Monster name + the endorsement.

We're using G2 Sennheiser wireless systems and our drummer has a Presonus headphone amp with a feed for both his monitor mix and a DI from his sampler.
