i'm not a keyboard guy-- but a guy on craigslist was selling this particular unit, and i watched the vid. SO cool-- I guess he guts and restores Mellotrons... he wants almost $5k for the thing, and looking at it from the outside, i thought he was nuts. then i watched the vid. i KNOW somebody could make some seriously cool sounds with this thing! |

They are probably the most amazing keyboard-like thing ever built. Weirdly simple in concept, but weirdly complex in sound. |

I love them. They have such a unique character to the sound. They are probably maintenance hell. |
