I never really got on with those I had. Although I did make a £70 ebay profit on the vintage-style one Still want to have a go with one of those warmoth compound radius ones, though.

But I must say, I have been craving some LP-ness..
I played my buddies LP Standard into his 4x10 Deville with some fuzzes.
Kick into the neck pickup, roll of that tone knob..
So goddamn fun.

You know, I don't think I've ever had a 24". I have small hands and you would think this would be advantageous to use a small neck. I feel more comfortable with a longer neck, like Fender next to my LP, but I would think that's because I was a bassist for so long. I noodle with my daughters little squier strat and my hands look like Vai's long fingers on it, but it is totally uncomfortable.

On the other hand, small hands make your peener look big.

I have Piano Player Hands and will never know the joys of a 24" neck. 25 1/5 is quite comfortable for me. Gibson scale gets a bit small when I'm high up on the neck.

I have tiny hands, and even i have to make a big adjustment to a 24" scale. I love the shortscales, but there are certain chords and parts, for which i just will never use the shortscale to record, as i cannot fit all of my fingers in the spaces required in that format.

But. For totally fucking up my brain and making me do something totally out of the ordinary, playing/writing-wise, i the tiny guitar is almost unbeatable. I have been using the lowestang almost exclusively for writing lately.

This thread randomly made me want a 40" scale sub-octave bass. Right now.

It is weird, i can't write as easily on a low tuned geetar/bass. I just write riff stuff.

For everything else, i actually get more mileage out of higher tunings, or higher chord shapes. I think it has to do with how it shifts the focus of the chords to different notes than i am used to hearing in lower tunings and root chord shapes. I should probably have a capo here.

I do still want 30" scale six string SG tho...

That would need to be tuned to low A or somfin' like that.

Warwick makes one tuned to F#, and custom pieces exist tuned an octave below standard.
