Thar she is.
Ash body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard.
24" scale.

As you can see someone did some superghetto routing work underneath the pickguard there.
Some goddamn Thurston Moore wannabe hacked this bastard up real good.
:huzzah:

The humbucker in the bridge is some Dimarzio, but there's no identifying characteristics or serial numbers to help figure out what it is.
As for the rail neck pickup, it is screwed directly into the body as well as secured even further with the use of some kind of glue, so trying to get a better look at it was not gonna happen.
When looking at some of the scratches and dents one can tell it used to be Lake Placid Blue or some other similar color before it was spray painted this Daphne Blue-ish color.

I call it a Mustang when I refer to it, but in all reality it is a Musicmaster (a student model from the 70's) hacked up to be more like a Mustang with the two pickups.
Original Musicmasters had a single coil neck pickup solely originally.

Anyways, just thought I'd share some pictures of a pretty interesting and unique little guitar with you gentlemen.

Yargh, I love her.
That neck is stupid comfortable and with some good, thick strings you can bend for goddamn days.

I love mustangs. I have actually been playing my Lowestang more than anything else lately.

Also, i don't believe that is an original body. Or, not an original Mustang body anyhoo.

Checkit, this is what a normal mustang rout looks like:

Yours may have started out as something else, like a Musicmaster. Or, it might be a homebrew body attached to a Mustang neck. :idk:

Either option would also explain why it is also missing the funky trem routing that Mustangs have.

Whatever the case, the most important part of any guitar is the neck, and that one looks a-ok. :huzzah:

I want a big red button that says CUNT and wear it on my office causal pants right on the crotch tomorrow when I go to work. but I don't think that will happen.

1. I haz not such a button.
2. I have to still feed my kids, hard to do that with no job.
3. nevermind, I'lm thinking a pie button may work...

I'd play it, with much gusto.

I will say those older Fender necks are just unbeatable, just pure win.

I'm kinda finding I just like Fender necks in general.

This '68 Reissue strat has a comfy as neck to play. It is finished too, which all of my necks are. I guess I like finished necks ...

But I guess if it is a "reissue", then the neck should be similar to the older ones. :red
