OK hit me up with ideas
MY '77 LP has very old Overlend Actives (EMG before they were called EMG) innit. Minihum size, quite rare, but I don't use this guitar because I get a lot of drive out of the amp and dirt box so the active pups just muddy it up and I am truly not a fan of actives. I am not routing it (it's a deluxe) so I am thinking of a P90 in the neck and a Minihum in the bridge. Gives me some wiring ideas, I will replace all the pots etc when I do this, I will most likely use GFS pups unless I hear of something that will really get me off from you guys. So give me pup ideas as well.

2x90s wired up 50s style would be my choice, having just done it on my Gibson - sounds snaxcellent

Re: OK hit me up with ideas
Here's the seymour duncan site on pickup wiring... http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/There is a P-90 Stack under Other Wiring Diagrams. Maybe you can get some ideas from this.... I also would consider the fullbore switch. This will bypass all pots and caps and hook your pickup directly to your amp. It's must have for me! YAH!

Re: OK hit me up with ideas
I finally found where the fullbore circuit is... http://www.1728.com/guitar4.htm Yeah i know it's really called a "Guitar Solo Switch" but that sounds boring, doesn't it?

Re: OK hit me up with ideas
I forgot to mention I use the pull switch pots or whatever you call em. It has the switch on the back of the pot so you don't have to do any drilling on your axe!
I would suggest, 2 phase switches, 1 series/parallel switch and 1 fullbore switch.
Wire the phase switches to the tone pots. Wire the series/parallel switch to the neck volume pot. Wire the fullbore switch to the bridge volume pot.
This would give you lots of tones, plus the fb switch when someone tells you turn it down! hahahahaha
