I played an old-school gibson one my buddies dad owned. It was a pretty fucking sweet player, one of the few LPish guitars I liked.

this one was mine. Nice guitar, but while it had great tones, something about it didn't do what I wanted at the time. Kinda cross of a tele/LP if that makes sense

Yeah, the bridge was bright which gave me the Tele/LP vibe too Especially when split.
I really want to try one out ...
But it is low on my list of guitars to get.
