This article I read about all of his little oddball gear choices/implementations really kinda grabbed my eye. Shit explains he put a parametric EQ circuit in one of his favorites strats that would be tuned to venues each night by his tech to maximum harmonic resonance in relationship to his amps. The EQ circuit then ran into some absolutely ridiculous boost, like +30db. He played the shiz for crazy ass controlled feedback as he could turn it off with a push button switch.

Any of you dudes mess with similar gadgetry? Just sounds something like that specifically for a vibrato equipped guitar would be incredible fun and could make for interesting sounds.

You wouldn't happen to have a link to the article, would you?

I don't know if it could be found online, but it was in Guitar World funnily enough. It was a Dweezil Zappa deal where he was displaying all his dad's old gear and stuff and some tricks he used throughout his career. Guitars, pedals, amps, rack gear, etc. I think he even provided some settings that he used live to replicate his dad's old tones. It's a fairly old issue (probably a couple years), but I read it out of boredom a couple of days ago. It might be in their archives though, they document a lot of that shit.
