I think we can all agree that what i really need these days,
Is more fucking guitars.
But when a coworker mentioned that someone found this crammed behind a piano when they were cleaning up to move, and that it could be mine for $25, well derp, now it is mine.
I wish i had taken a picture of it as it arrived, it was REAL ugly, but cleaned up nice.
Had to do some wiring, fabricate a jack plate(street signs again) and do a LOT of scrubbing to get it less crusty. Still a little crusty, but i can work with it.
Put a set of strings on it, giving it a couple days to settle before i set it up proper.
Looks like an '87-'89 Japanese one. When he told me about it, i was hoping it would have a floyd on it when i saw it, but frankly the stability of the vintage fulcrum bridge is probably more what i actually can use for my own typical porpoises, anyhow.
Absolutely love the fucking necks on these things. This one is awesome, even though it has some of the most comically oversized jumbo frets i have ever experienced. Doesn't play weird because of them, which is surprising to me.
