spend money on good cables, either making to buying quality or go cheap?  I used to go cheap now I tend to just buy good quality cables. My patch cables for pedalboard are newer but not great, but my instrument cables are Mogami and planet Waves. Also mogami for Pedalboard to loop. |

I play the cheapest cables available, as long as the ends are decent quality and repairable. Usually it is those ProCo ones with the blue strain relief. Those or the cheapos that guitar center used to carry that copy the ProCos. Actually, i haven't bought cables in like fifteen years or something. From the days back from when all of the bands i played in used to practice in my basement, i have amassed a small pile of cables that people broke and ditched down there. It is the hobo way. |

As cheap as possible, usually. I do use Mogami cables from guitar to boost to amp. But they're getting pretty old and shitty, and my pedalboard to FX return cable has a broken tip that I'm too lazy to replace, even though I have another tip somewhere in my pile of random electronic junk. My head to cab cable is actually a 40' or so long chunk of 12 AWG car speaker wire with 1/4" jacks soldered to each end. It's the toughest cable I own right now. I would be perfectly comfortable with running it across a street and letting people run over it with their cars. |

I buy pretty middle of the road cables. They aren't cheapo nor are they boutique ZOMG TOAN cables. |

I have: 1 Dimarzio 1 ProCo (had to change both tips because i was mean to it) 1 very long monster cable (had to change one tip because MC tips suck ass) 1 short noname home made pedalboard cables made with some noname cable I found and cut up and put jacks on. I guess I'm middle to cheap? |

I have both. I have Mogami and 1000-Series Monster and Blue and Lava stuff, and middling quality stuff and total cheapshit of unknown origin. I used to actually care and buy nice cables. Now, not so much. And I have a bunch I've accumulated from I have no idea where.
