I don't know what the intent of that thing is, other than to look ridiculous. :idk:

It is vaguely interesting at a glance, but i would guess that one of those coils is going to be out of phase with the other two, and they are way too close to each other for me to expect that the results are going to be much better than you could get with one regular humbucker. The one out of phase coil will probably hollow out the sound something fierce when all three are on, if that is indeed how they are wired.

If one is going to rock three coils, at least rock a useful setup, like the single in the neck position. IMO. :idk:

I'm picking up one of these in a couple weeks:

now I need to decide on a new bridge pick up. Thinking Air Norton, D-Sonic, or some type of PAF.

I'd love to see someone rocking that in a proper metal band. (Not a hardcore band, that sort of stuff pops up on occasion in that context.)

I like those, I just wish they had the proper switching and came in more interesting colors. 3TS is nice (I am not a fan of it, but that is just personal preference) and black is classy, but a little variety would be nice.

They did the same with the classic players JM I want. All the right features, none of the right colors.

Well knowing Fender, it would be a stretch for a Fiesta or Candy Apple Red?

I'd also accept any of their Greens (Sherwood  ) but that would be close to the Thurston Moore sig.

Any of the vintage pastels they have would work as well. And for shits and giggles, Graffiti Yellow.

Edit: Really I like most of Fender's colors ...
