Its a bank holiday tomorrow so I'm gonna give this a good looking over before I go to be a noisy bastard with my band.

So the PI doesnt work properly because the useless twat I bought me components on has given my 820R resistors rather than 82K resistors. This probably explains why one side of the PI can produce 35Vpp and the other side only 0.7Vpp. Fucks sake.

Yeah I know I should check the component values first but you'd expect them to be right...

Ah! Yes, that would be a problem. :red:

Well, it is good that you figured it out. I haven't had any sort of issue like that so i didn't have much to suggest. I am pretty compulsive about quadruple checking values throughout the building process though. Though it is not really a big deal, i haaaaate unsoldering things once they are in.

There are other things wrong too but at least when I put a sine wave into the PI I get a sine wave out of the speakers rather than half a sine wave
I should probably build a dummy load box so I can look at the output waveform.

Looks cheeky whatever it is.

I have the bits on order to build the aforementioned dummy load so I can work out what I fucked up

Yes LA2a clone.

Bits for the dummy load are here. Gonna get that mother strapped together tomorrow. Nothing too fancy - just a 50W 15R aluminium clad resistor in a box with a BNC connector.

Is the "Dummy Load" some kind of stencil or sticker? Did the box come that way or did you do that some how?

I used a thermal label printer. If you put enough clearcoat on top you cant see the edges of the label. I didnt bother here though.

Its not the best way ever but it works. If you want it to look nice I'd look into something else

Ha! I'm getting one half of the waveform on the output. Time to look into the power amp to see what I've fucked up :poop:
