Lab Series L5 for $150. You know I'm a Ty Tabor freak..... on the local CL. Should I try it out? I'm really not a fan of SS maps, but this one has me intrigued

I definitely would, especially for that price, but I'm a huge TT fanboy also.

Apparently though a large part of his old tone was the preamp built into his strat elite....

If you have the cash, i would probably check it out.

A friend of mine has one, a unique, and kind of awesome, sounding amp. It is not like other SS maps, or like any tube maps. It is its own weird thing. The compressor input is odd too.

If the dude will take less, even better. I REALLY don't know what their current value is though. It may be even more than that?

Usually if I skip negotiations and just say, "I have a $100 in cash and will buy it today ..." they usually bite for the lower price, simply for the ease of sale.

I mean, regardless I still check the stuff out and give it a good once over, but most of the time people on Craigslist are lazy salespeople, and will take decent offers if you have cash in hand.

Do it. They're a quirky "different" map.

And yes, lowball 'em. Generally speaking if someone tries to lowball me I usually want to punch them in the taint, but I advocate your doing this, because I am a bastard.

Hmm. Good point. I guess that would be a matter of personal preference. I would go with the pants myself, as i find it difficult to donnybrook in bloomers and a corset.

For you: go with whatever is comfortable. They are both winning choices.
