Re: The workbench thread
Interesting choice for such a deep reddish! Seems like it will look a bit patriotic, eh?

Re: The workbench thread
This one ain't for me. I think its that one anyway, its one of the fender silver cloths anyway. Its the first prototype for my bud phil. I'm doing mine charcoal with a back and brown basket weave and wenge strips where piping would normally go.

That's a pretty box.
I wish I was able to commission one.

Re: The workbench thread
I'd say $400 would be a conservative estimate. Here's the trick: make sales, get popular, get a US distributor, I get a cab!' Totally easy thing to do

Re: The workbench thread
The vid works, but the pictars aren't showing up for me. Whole thing has a bit of fizz to it, is that from the camera mic? The low end sounds actually good, considering camera mic-ness, but the fizz is pervasive. I would like to hear it with a proper microphone on it. Also, what are Celestion Hot 100s like?

Re: The workbench thread
The pictures wont work here for some reason The speakers are still breaking in. I wasnt there so I cant comment on the fizz with these amps but when I've tried with other amps it wasn't fizzy. Ideally I wanted the camera further back to get a room sound but I didnt specify that so thats what I got We're doing some close mic stuff soon, possibly with a laney ironheart. The hot-100 is basically like a t75 that doesnt suck. One of my favourite speakers. I have them in my matamp cab.

Re: The workbench thread
Are "Hot 100s" K100s? My K100s don't call themselves Hot 100s, but then again, they're OEM speakers out of some superfuckingdupermegawatt combo.

Re: The workbench thread
Yeah they're on facebook. The links work on other forums though. They're from the amp shootout we did. If we'd have got their a bit earlier in the day we could have got a Diezel herbert on it!
hot-100s are different to k100s. They're most like a t75 with all the bad things about that speaker removed.

Re: The workbench thread
Very nice cab! Looks and sounds beastly (considering the fizz is video camera fizz)

Re: The workbench thread
I don't mind them and I'd take them over a V30 for the most part. The hot 100s just sound bigger to me though. That said I've only ever used the 75 in a 1960a.
