Geoff will have words on the Splawns. For whatever reason, nothing about them has ever struck me as terribly interesting, with the sole exception of the Nitro, which i find curious for the evidently ridiculous low end voicing they chose to go with for it.

As mentioned and elucidated somewhat in the other thread, the Shiva strikes me as: Doap.

Splawn = Dry Mrashall toans straight out of the eighties. :huzzah: Cleans are okay. :idk: Then it does every Marshall tone from light crunch to Guns N Roses to Slayer. :unstrung:

I was able to get some pretty nice, booming, piano-like clean sounds from my Promod when the volume was at around 2 o'clock.

My other guitarist's Herbert with 6550s is a reasonable candidate for the aforementioned.

Not EXACTLY what you wanted, but look at the gain knob and the switch right beside it.


I had one of these for a while. It was pretty killer for teh dough, but has since been discontinued.
