I see you got the more recent version with the bright switches and all. Coolcool. This also eliminates the need for the wonky effects loop cable. Noice! :unstrung:

also, I was originally hoping for a head, then to buy a boggy empty combo off ebay, but I am sure I can make (or have my dad help me make) a headshell for it if this thing is as heavy as purported.

I can't speak for the 1x12, but the 2x12 is heavy as all get out. I've lugged one up a few flights of stairs before and it was not fun times. I'd rather have moved a 4x12 because at least that has side handles.

yeah, mostly my gigs are at ground level, but that's why I'm thinking to make a head shell in case. Also I can cover it green or purpley or sumptin'

There's a purple Shiva at the studio I'll be mixing at. It's not the first purple Shiva I've run across, either. It's quite nice. They have a green Metropolis, too. Their Ecstasy is plain black, but with the sexie wheat grillcloth.
