30 watts class A. Not very high gain, much lower gain than even the Shiva. Probably say more Matchless flavor. 6L6's innit. very nice sounding amp I will say that. |

Matchlessy with 6L6s? That's different.  I've used the Shiva live for metal gigs sans an external boost (boost function on the lead channel always engaged, natch) and never thought it was particularly low gain. Being able to push the master helped, of course, but turn the thing up, and it'll do the trick. Didn't dime the preamp gain, either. I believe I even poasted clips of my old gothmetal band from... Quite a while ago, now, in the past, where a Shiva was involved.
Y'know, I'm not really a beer drinker, and when I do, it's beersnob beer. But someone whose band I regularly gig with, when I gig regularly, often brings a few cans of Bud to gigs. I've accepted the offer on occasion, and it's not terrible. It's rather anodyne, but I think that's the point; sometimes a serious porter or IPA is a bit much. How this relates to amps, I don't know.

Ahhh I only use the boost on the Shiva for leads. I almost always have the Timmy on in front of it also, and it is no where near high gain. There are some decent clips on the tubes of you re: Mr Terry. This little 30 watt amp is 65 lbs.. I can't seem to get away from weighty amps. |

Oh, yeah I don't really drink much beer. Wine or whisky are my deals. But if I do, it is Sam Adams blue point, fat tire, or Corona.. not much Budweiser in me |

I actually find this funnier than most since with all the shit I have I still go to my $200 used Mexi tele when I just want to relax and jam at home. Also I do not take care of gear. It gets used. Hard. that why I sell the PRSs I get. too nice for me. |
