JVM bast avar is gone. JSX is just as good for half the price plus I like the way it responds to lower fq

No, od20 is still around. The I play the od20 > randall rg at my buddies house but thats my home rig in the op :poop:

generally I'm a marshall chick. I like EL34's. but recently because of small clubs and doing lighter cover tunes I am doing either OCD or Allums modded SD-1 into the V22. I was just looking at it today and realized I had it set for Triode mode...... I forgot it had that switch on the back.

My noise is basically a bright Voxy amp cranked to about 2:00. I still need to do some speaker testing to see what i like best, but something greenback-ish is definitely workable. I suspect that if i can get my hands on some cheap G12H30s, i will like them more though. I also need to build some different cabs for myself. The ones i have are all too loose and flubby for doing some of the things i need to. But the cranked Voxy thing is the sound i was looking for for many years. I just didn't know to look for it there, for a long time.

As that is not always workable, even with a 20w version of the Voxy amp, my 'most of the time' sound is two or three overdrives stacked for varying degrees of what i would normally be able to get with one boost and my guitar volume knob if i could play normal loud.

Really, though, lately 90% of my playing and demo recording has been withe the same stacked overdrive setup, into the Crate GX15R. It sounds a lot worse, but is just quicker for getting ideas down, at any time of day or night. :red:

I already have super restricted time slots when i can record drums. I need everything else free for guitars, so the guitars have to be quieter. :idk:

Your Crate sounds fine enough though. I've never heard it and gone, "ew, bad toan!"

Interestingly there are posters on other forums who own thousand dollar pres, which they swear by, yadda yadda, and their tones have been 'ew' and the clips as mediocre as ever.

I'm pretty content right now

Epi LP or sharpiecaster > dunlop wah > modded sd-1 > muff clone > dd-6 > Carvin x60b

working with 5 sounds
amps clean
amp's dirty channel for a more articulate and cleanable dirt (boosted with sd-1 for leads)
fuzz for thick awesomeness that can be slightly rolled back for a more "normal" dirt sound(also boosted for leads)

wouldn't mind getting the same noise through something voxy/matchlessy/badkittyey :cop:

Strat or Tele --> NMV AC30, one Blue, one Greenback, channels jumpered, Brilliant volume c.1:30-2:00, Normal volume c.2:00-3:00. Cut control off, Bass around 2:00, Treble around 12:00, IIRC.

Add pedals as necessary.

Yes. Just used 2 of them on my Evisceration Plague cover. Plus, I have a now dead Peavey Stereo Chorus 2x12. The preamp still works so I'll keep it for mindless fuckery.

Yeah, I did drums via MIDI. I'm a little over halfway through it... laziness has the best of me.

What I've got so far is in the Your Recordings section.

I looked into those Blue Angels back in the day. I ended up buying an Egnater TOL50 instead, but I have always wondered what could have been.

I have been using the channel switching on the Bug v22 for dirty/clean tone. I have now for past 2 weeks been just using the clean channel + OCD when I want the dirt, and the SD-1 for a lead boost. I still have the dirty channel but have not been using it.

Oh currrent Pedal board is TU-2>OCD>SD-1>Chicken Salad>Phase90>Carbon Copy>map

I don't think I actually have a 'toan' specifically... I practice with a pretty unimpressive one, I have large amps that I haven't used recently for anything but recordings, and for recordings I often just use impulses and stuff sometimes to keep the variety...

I do not haz one toan.

But my toanz do tend to have high gainz in common. :unstrung:
