Isn't that the one that sounds like a mini-JCM800? |

Mullard RI EL84s > JJ EL84s. Yes, the JJs are superdurable and last for aeons, but A) you're not running an AC30 and B) the Mullard RIs sound better. And C) even still, I have RI Mullards in my AC30. Oh, and I realized I still have your attenuator! |

I have been crazy crazy cRazEee busy, so I picked this up on CL for $150. Just perfect shape. Dude said he retubed it 10 years ago and it's been in the closet since. Said maybe 20 hours on the tubes. So while I was driving, I'm was thinking.. hmm, what's he got in there? So while doing 75 mph I wiggled out a pretube, but damnit, no markings, I could find. Once again hard to read tubes well while speeding. Once home I ran downstairs and plugged in for the rich creamy tones. YEEEEEEEUUUUZZZZZZ. very nice. Has a built in 10, but I have read it screams with 12's so I will try it in my 2x12 and 4x12 tonight. |
