I have never, ever, had an amp with an FX loop. Not by choice or any conscious decision, just all of my amps never had one. Am I missing something? I've always just ran my FX out in front, and they always seem to do what I want. |

The only time I ever used an FX loop was when I was running a rack rig. For other amps, even those with fx loops, I will always throw all the effects in front. |

I throw dirt and wah in front, modulation & verb goes through the loop. I seem to get the best out of my effect using this method. |

Depends on how you get yer dirt. If you're running a high gain map, then there's a reason for a loop. If yer not, there ain't. If you're getting the majority of your distortimication from pedals, a loop is IMO unnecessary. All it's doing is putting whatever is in it after the dirt/EQ from the front end of yer map. |
