well, here is what i have in mind as of now:

MJM London Fuzz Germanium
Sweetsound Mojo Vibe (any other vibes you'd recommend?)
HBE Psylocibe Phase Shifter (or maybe a small stone?)
TC Electronics Flashback/Nova Repeater/Carbon Copy/DL4 (which one?)
TC Electronics Hall of fame/Line 6 verbzilla (again, which one?)
Tremolo Pedal (recommend me one?)
Good overdrive/treble booster (???)
pedal to do reverse guitar (I.E. The Beatles "I'm Only Sleeping," "Castles Made of Sand," "Are you experienced?" etc.) What pedal could do this sort of stuff live? i was thinking of some kind of reverse delay, or a guyatone slow volume (boss slow gear clone) or maybe a digitech space station.

So yeah, help me make my wishlist? i plan to hopefully acquire the fuzz and vibe and maybe another pedal or so this year... the rest will be bought over my next few years of high school when i get money.

If you are serious about getting some nice dirt boxes, you could commission chris to build you some. But since you flip shit like a cheerleader I would say it is probably better to get name-brand stuff for the resale value.

Now let's break that list down:

MJM London Fuzz Germanium:

No idea, don't care to look into it.

Sweetsound Mojo Vibe (any other vibes you'd recommend?)

No idea, don't care to look into it

HBE Psylocibe Phase Shifter (or maybe a small stone?)

I see lots of psychedelic guys using EHX stuff, the small stone particularly.

TC Electronics Flashback/Nova Repeater/Carbon Copy/DL4 (which one?)

Well what do you want to do with it? For basic analog delay stuff the CC would be a fine choice, if you want a lot of options and crazy sounds then go for the digital DL4.

TC Electronics Hall of fame/Line 6 verbzilla (again, which one?)

I imagine the TC is a fine pedal, but I have heard good things about the verbzilla. Once again, it is probably going to be more of a personal preference on options for you.

Tremolo Pedal (recommend me one?)

No idea, don't care to look into it

Good overdrive/treble booster (???)

Are you looking for a boost, an OD or a treble booster? You should probably just get one of each. A EHX LPB-2 can be had for cheap, or you can get/build clones for even cheaper. I prefer the Timmy as far as a boost/OD goes though.

pedal to do reverse guitar (I.E.

The DL4 has a reverse on it. There is also the volume swell option which can be done with a volume pedal or like the Boss SG .

But let's get real your parents are footing the bill so just get the best stuff available. If it has a tube in it all the better.

I think for delays i will just be doing some trippy spaced out dreamy sounds, same with reverb, just to make my guitar sound like "far out" i suppose. LOL

as far as the od, basically i'll prob be using it for the really bitey, low gain 60's rock tones thru my clean channel or od with a bit of gain. i want the opposite of smooth for this.

and honestly even though my parents buy me my stuff most of the time, they don't get me the most expensive shit. i'll be using lunch money for these pedals.

just remember the Beatles and Jimi didn't user a pedal or vst for reverse effects. They actually had to flip the tape over and track it that way then re=flip the tap.

Yes I have done that.

yes it''s more fucking awesome than that even sounds.

yeah i know i actually reverse it in audacity (ghetto but it works) but i mean for at least imitating it live.

actually, i've been kinda wanting to get a reel to reel old school tape recorder, and recs for some good ones? i saw a sony of some sort on cl for 120 bucks.

I feel with pedals that unless a certain pedal is the only way to get a specific sound I'd rather use a multi fx rack. Like... The snax... Just because it's a whore to power all of them, the signal is significantly degenerated after certain units, it iS a recipe for fail with all those little patches, etc.

I guess you want Sort of an old school vibe but fuck, the technology's gotten good and no one but you will care how you obtain the sounds...

That is why I am thinking the M9 for myself.

All my modulations, delays and reverbs in one stomp box, with a looper and tap tempo for all active fx.

i was thinking about just getting a fuzz and a vibe and using a multi fx for the rest, but i kind of do want a specific phaser sound

Ah, then you want a EH Small Stone.

Check out the Behringer VP1, it is a copy of it that is cheap as shit. I got one for $40 new shipped online.

Otherwise, the Nano Small Stone is about $80 i think.

Anyhow, that is my favorite phaser sound also. It is not too swooshy, but it can get really strange (good strange) depending on how you use it. I like it a lot.

Also, just so you are aware, most of the sound on that particular song is actually a MicroKorg synth. It is basically a triangle wave with a little octave and some flanger on it.

THIS, is the sound of the phaser:

He also runs it weird. He runs the phaser really early in the chain, and then at the very end he has a Dynacomp compressor that makes it sound blown out like it does in the beginning there. Same deal with the first song on that record. You can here the shit ton of white noise that the compressor in that spot makes, it is the first thing you hear when the album starts: "HISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS". It is noisy, but cool sounding.

well maybe i'll just pick up a small stone... i havew $100 what should i buy first? i also need an interface but the one i want is $300. so what save, or buy pedal or what? which pedal should i acquire first? i can get fuzz tones with my mark iii by turning up the bass, it's actually quite cool.

Jesus H. Christ kid, how the fuck do you dress yourself in the morning?

Make your own decision, like an adult.
