I decided I needed some big verb sounds in my life so I ordered one of the biyang baby boom tri-reverbs. The reviews and clips of them have all been good and its under half the price of the big guns units like the boss and holy stain. I do hope the loop on my pro tube doesnt suck though ![]() picks and clean clips through my A15 when it drops I guess. |

I got one of the Biyang baby boom fuzzes, and while I hated it with every map I decided to try it on my Bogner, sonuvabitch it sounded real good on that. I think has to do with the warm tone that Bogner delivers the Biyang fuzz was a bit on the shrill side, but not noticeable on the Boggy. Let me know how that verb is. I have read some great reviews on their full sized compressor (silver one) |

I am not familiar with these. I am out of the loop, no pun intended. What's their deal? |

Biyang has been doing super cheap chinese copies of classic pedlol fx for a while now, generally in kind of a funky shaped box. They are also the ones that do the GFS pedlols. The new series they are doing ("Baby Boom") is in normal MXR style enclosures. I don't know for sure, but the reverb looks like it might be an ICverb in the style of the EH Holy Grail. Actually, with six reverb settings, it seems likely to be based on the Dr Scientist Reverberator sort of chip. Funny thing about digiverbs, is that the basic algorithms can't be patented, and so when a chinese manufacturer chooses to 'borrow' something, they can borrow pretty hard. Usually any sound difference comes in what kind of A/D/D/A conversion they use, with the chinese stuff often going for the cheaper/noisier bits. I am definitely curious to hear your thoughts on it, herr Zozobra. A lot of this series of pedals looks cool. I would also like to see a gutshot of the mofo.

Sure, full review and gratuitous pictures will be made ![]() My amps already one noisy sumnabitch so if it is a little noisy it wont matter. All the clips of it seem pretty reasonable on that front though. |

Yeah, as far as noise, it is just a dice roll sometimes. Like: my behringer RV600(line6 verbzilla copy) is noisy as all fuck, but i have only seen a couple people complain about it; a bunch of folks actually said that their pedals were super quiet. For the price, IMO, it is definitely worth the minor risk of getting a noisy one. And all of the odd boxed Biyang stuff was through hole. I am curious to see if they have stuck with that for this series, which would be righteous(for the easy moddings), or if they have gone all SMD. I assume the tri-verb will be SMD either way, because most of those digiverbchips only come in that format.

The d00bage is not my bag, but the cider-on-tap appears at first glance to be of a deliciousness. |

Westons cider is truly the nectar of the gods. ![]() This is the finest example of cider known to man and it clocks in at 8.2% for serious mind alteration. |

I need to see if they have this in The States. That could make me give up whiskey (temporarily). Duly noted, as the grocery store near my current place has a decent craft/micro/import selection and there's a specialty beerplace down the street a bit as well. |

I am drinking Strongbow at the moment. Much nicer than my home apple brew. It tasted like puke toward the end of a glass. I can only imagine how these legit ciders would taste... |

Strongbow is pretty okay. My cider preference would be Hornsby's, which has a rhinoceros on the bottle (I would presume because it has a horn). It is quite tasty. I think both are prererable to Woodchuck and especially Harpoon, the latter of which Miz D and I reluctantly killed off one night for the sake of getting it out of the house. |

Strongbow is functional at best. After drinking westons going back to it is like being asked to be happy about someone slapping your mother and calling her a whore. |

![]() It looks like the components are on the 'wrong side' of the board so no gut shots just yet as it looks like a PITA to pull apart. |
