Bought Mike's G-Mrajor from him last week. USPS is bringing it to me, but their tracking system either sucks, or they are just taking forevs to ship it from the sorting facility ....

But it should be here sometime this week. I am holding off on recording with mah new stuff until I get it.

It needs to hurry the fuck up :red:

:panic:

:rennen:

Won't have much of a chance to mess with it as I have class in 25 minutes, but it is all set up on my shitty rack and turns on. Also if I plug things into it, it makes sounds.

:rawk:

Will update with clips ASAP.

Ok I got like 40 minutes to kill, time to press buttons and play with knobs.

I might go mess with the G-major too.

Got to play with it some more.

Oh yes, I will be using this thing quite a bit.

No clips until I get my computer all set up for recordiddling, but they shall come soon. The delays are fucking awesome.

Like really fucking awesome.

Also the pitch shifting sounds great with the Mastotron.

The delays are awesome. The ducking delay is great. The chorus is a good chorus for people who hate chorus. The pitchshifting is really cool'; you can get a fucked-up Moog synth sorta sound pretty easy. It is a fine apparatus.

This.

The G-Major will always be entrenched in my mind as the tool and manner in which a shredder might apply chorus to a digital delay for a greater lead glory.

I have never used one, only heard them used, often badly, by folks @ HC, and at local badmetal shows. But that is what my perception has been. Chorused digital delay. Probably into a dual rectifier. And most likely, with a BBE Sonic Maximizer involved somehow in the rig. :red:

So i too am excite to hear what else the thingamabob can do. :dukes:

Hey I have one of those

I also have not used it since 1994

It was like everyone with anything in a rack in the 90s also had a sonic maximizer.

It was as if they included them with the rack units themselves or something. "Buy a fourspace or greater rack today and you can get a BBE Sonic Maximizer absolutely FREEE! See your costumer service representative for details."

Oh now it can definitely get as cheesy as necessary, which is hand.

I am excited to do some recordiddling with it, hopefully sometime soon.

Ah, the ol' BBE Sonic Minimizer...

...

...I had one too. :red: And so did my bassist. Hell, I think our drum machine did too.

There might have been badmetal involved. :red:

Chris from Garda has a G-Major 2 in his rig. That, with the Diezel and PRS becomes the butt of HCAF jokes at rehearsal.

Devin- something to look out for: they can develop an issue with the rotary encoder. Known problem, common, I don't know where TC is at currently re: servicing the original iteration of the G-Major. Both of mine had this problem. Just makes patch changes and editing a pain in the junk; doesn't affect anything else. Just so yer aware.
