Parts Express stocks it... they say it's thirty bucks to ship it here? More than the damn pedal. Bitch please.

Amazon won't ship it to my location.

Ass.

Went with the Daphon after all.

:panic:

I don't often order things on the interwebs, so it's a big deal to me. :azn:

:dildo: :eekass:

But now, with a bit of tweakery, you can achieve Epic Filth. Or, will shortly be able to at any rate.

The Boss HM-2 is easily one of my favorite pedals. Tied or a very close second to my dr. scientist the elements. Hope you dig the hm300 dude.

The Elements is one that interests me a fair bit. I was actually looking into the idea of making a few of the Torfuzzes for selling, when i came across the Elements, and was struck by its apparent similarity in what it was aiming to do(and which subsequently had me reconsidering whether i could actually sell what i had drawn up with such a thing available :red: ). What i have seen of the insides seems to show an additional similarity in what the dood used to get there, too.

I am definitely curious to see how he chose to do it, circuit-wise, specifically though. And i am curious to hear more of how it works as a fuzz.

Do you find yourself using all of the controls on it? When i drew up the thing i did for Tor i was trying to have some flexibility but not too many controls. The Elements goes the other way and has a whole shitbunch of switches and biz. Do you find them useful? Or do you find yourself more just finding one basic setting you like and leaving it there?

Nah I don't use all the switches. I usually dick around with the mid frequencies and the bass cut the most. Not so much with the bass cut anymore because I use a Greenhouse effects Remedy fuzz to get all my fuzz sounds. The clipping switch rarely gets used...yeah I basically find my tone I like and don't fuck it with too much.

I actually ordered the Daphon instead. Hope I enjoy it, indeed? It is currently sitting in a sorting depot in Connecticut.

I'm thinking I might drill a hole in the chassis so I can easily poke a little screwdriver in there and get at the trim knob.

Yep, so, the Daphon E20MT came in the mail today.

It is actually quite a solid pedal. Feels as sturdy and metallic as a Boss, looks to have about the same quality inside.

Mine came with the internal trim already maxed.

So here's a clip I made with it. I went full retard and scooped the amp and stuff, just wanted to sound as bad as possible. Please forgive my playing, I have barely been playing for months, and have basically lost the ability to trem pick. Also the guitar needs to be intonated.

Sounds rougher in texture than the Boss, but that might be A. The video. B. the map, and/or C. the settings, also.

What do you think of it in person? Will it do the job required of it?

I thought it was a little smooth actually! Chalk it up to the recording method.

I think it basically 'Nails' the sound. :unstrung:
