Has anyone heard of such a beast beyond rumour or "this would be an awesome idea"?

I know there's the Muse Receptor, which is a standalone VST host rack unit, which is stupid expensive, and will run software instruments, and the Digitech iStomp, which is closer in concept. I'm just curious if such a thing has actually made it to market. (Well, and I'd love to drop Soundtoys Echoboy into a pedal...)
