Which one of you hoars would know how to produce this effect? (Chris, I'm mostly looking at you here.)

Apparently there's a preset on my friend's :snax:-FX Ultra that does this. I need to duplicate this effect. It is imperative.

Hmm. I dunno, something digital stereo with some funky partial phase swapping action on the tails to simulate room reflection?

I guess it really depends on what you mean by it sounding like it is behind you.

Probably relatively easy to do in a recording. I wouldn't expect it to be easy or possible live though, unless you work some sort of wet/dry rig, or with the delay being fed into specific parts of the PA...

I kinda figured there's a phase deal involved from what I've read about doing this with a vocal.

There's always the option of trying some sort of jury-rigged binaural recording setup.

Duplicating it live isn't particularly relevant.

But you could do it if you bring this little rig as your live setup

Well, then it would be easy enough, just put cabs behind the audience. The "STYX" sticker and pictures of someone else's kids would be kinda weird, though. :red:

I'm reasonably positive, unless someone in Styx- presumably that's theirs- has been stealing my precious bodily fluids. They may be godless Communists and all, but I think I'd notice if they tried that.
