Post Re: The What You Got thread
Focusrite Saffire Pro 10
ART DMPA Gold with NOS Mullard 12AT7s (This pre is awesome if you swap out the stock tubes, which really belong in a guitar map. Full voltage.)
FMR RNLA compressor
Groove Tubes DI

Macbook Pro/Logic 8
old dual core Apple G4 as a permanent "tape machine" at the 'Drome

Polk Audio speakers, old Yamaha amp, old Alesis amp
Sennheiser HD280Pros

several Shure SM57s
Shure Beta 58A
Shure KSM27
Audix OM2
Rode NT5s

...and I'll beg/borrow/steal other stuff as necessary. Usually an RSM-4, D112 and a PZM when I need/want them. Also there's an Audix i5 and a normal 58 kicking around the 'drome, and an Audix D6 and Sennheiser e609 have wound up on things in the recent past as well.

Line 6 Toneport UX2
Shure SM58
Reaper

It does the trick, but I eventually will invest in a interface with a decent preamp.

My set up is precisely the same, but i am borrowing Tor's two MXL990s. I *almost* had it together to be able to update some interfacey stuff and acquire some more of my own condensers, but then had to turn around and spend the dollars on extremely boring mostly useless shit like heating oil and... food. I hate that. :red:

Okay... I haven't had time to assemble and test it yet, but it is this:

http://www.uneeda-audio.com/pads/ The 'U' configuration is for three prong XLR cable lines

For fifteen dbs attenuation I'm using two 510 ohm and one 220 ohm resistor... times three. Because I have three tom mics, and they are some hot tamales! It's going to be a plastic box with a row of three ins and outs on each side.
