At the very least, i would like to see the guts of it so i could fashion my own from one of my basement phones.

I mean, i like the idea of using the whole handset for kitsch value. But i also like the concept of this classy 1920s studio microphone form factor. I wonder which transducer he is using out of the pair for the purpose, and i wonder if it is much different inside electronically, from the other phone-based things i have seen.
