Post Two Notes Captor
Any of you guys using this?

Just got one as I'm tired of old school micing my cab. And yeah I have been using the 11Rack still for home recording I figured with all this amps I have laying around now I'd like to actually record with them and not deal with the volume.

Also I have been using the Palmer PDI-01 live and this will give me a nice option live.

Also will be using Two Notes WoS for it...

speakup , opinions?

Hmm, fascinating. I have fallen so far out of touch, i didn't even know these existed!

Interesting collection of cab sims on the CAB M.

Hmmmmm.

I have gone so far into reducing volume by very picky pedal choice, which seemed the more logical option at one point(mainly because i can make the pedals myself), but it really does have its limitations. I wonder if i would get along with simulating the other end instead. I never got along with doing it within a host/VST arrangement, it was just to wonky for me. An external standalone arrangement absolutely seems more interesting to me. I don't know. Not too too expensive, either!

What sort of cabs are you using on the Cab sim? Is there a big difference between the different presets? There are a lot of different options but some which seem to tread similar ground? Do you find that each has a unique angle to it?

I've been using the "brownyback" cab in a crypt with 2 mics, a 57 close mic'd and a ribbon a few feet back but you can really get a ridiculous amount of tonal differences just from the mic placement and then the EQ in the captor, then when changing cabs (my second fave is some 2x12) There are so may options to try and loads of IR's you can test then purchase if you like. they allow you to try and it fades out and in after bout 10 seconds so you can really dick around with it and see if you want to purchase it.

the Bogner cab is very good too. theres mesa cabs, AC30 style cabs.. and anything I like I save to one of my 99 presets.
