 Hooray for random computers! My sister's college PC was sitting in my Mom's garage. It is a really shitty Compaq with 512 mb of DDR2, an AMD Athlon 3000+ and other mediocre stuff. Needless to say it isn't the best thing in the world ... However, it does afford me the luxury of being able to record me some motherfuckin' music. I already have Reaper and all of my VSTs loaded on it. I have to work for a few hours, then hopefully when I come back I will have SD2 on it as well. We shall see

Re: Hooray for random computers! Yeah, you're gonna nead ovor 512 meg for SD2 alone. Honestly, I'd say 2 gigs if you're intending on doing something serious with SD2 for the... headroom, as it were. I guess that's not an inappropriate use of the term headroom.

Re: Hooray for random computers! Yeah the computer just cannot handle it in the slightest. I shall preserve this copy for when I order my new PC.
Honestly the thing can barely handle Reaper. I don't know what I was smoking to make me think it could handle SD2, but I want more of it.

Re: Hooray for random computers! Well I also thought I had a 1GB stick of ram sitting around to throw in it ... But yeah, I didn't have high hopes of it running well, but I figured it might work a little. Which, it actually does. I can hit about one drum/cymbal at a time before the computer freezes. I can haz minimalist drum beats?
