Doubtful. Pistols are supposed to be really impractical for that purpose. .44 Mag or a heavy modern hunting load of .45 Colt, maybe. Or heavier. 10mm does have the penetration going for it if I'm remembering right though?

There's plenty of places in the urban landscape for bears to chill where no one'll notice 'em, too- alleyways, dumpsters, underpasses, abandoned buildings... Then some fuckknuckle is poking around back there and WHAM! Goddamn bear out of fucking nowhere!

In addition to large carnivores, I think herd animals could be a nice addition. Like, three hundred head of antelope roaming onto the highway during rush hour? That would be great shit.

Naw man, the video camera should just be attached to the repellent can. Like some wide angle spycam shit. It would record natively in flash video format for easy youtube uploads, which should probably be automatically transmitted to or own data server from the spraycan cam as soon as the safety is removed.

In terms of velocity and ballistic energy, it's damn near identical to a similar weight .357 magnum bullet. That was the idea behind it's creation: magnum stopping power in a semi automatic round. It does pretty well. A lot of the guys I know who hunt in Colorado, the Dakotas, Alaska etc, all carry 10mm glocks as their bear deterrent.
