I'm getting a group together to make noise with here at college with a kid who can sing tenor and play a bit of piano and bass and a kid who mixes and does electronic stuff, and I play guitar and piano and bass and sing a little. Fuck finding a drummer at college I'm stoked


P.S. Anyone have examples of bands who mix guitars and electronic stuff pretty well such 65 days of static?

Yeah, all of that is way way way too much for college living. I am assuming we are talking stereotypical dorm living situation here? Lot's of roommates but little room? Even with an ISO cab you'd have troubles with that setup.

My RA freshman year operated under the, "I don't care as long as I don't see it/hear it/smell it," rule. She would sit in on our jam sessions too, we were pretty lucky. Our neighboring building had a fucking nazi though. He would come over to our building trying to catch us drinking or smoking. Such a douche.

Seriously, this guy wrote up one of his own friends for having alcohol in her room when he was just hanging out with her, wasn't even his resident. Luckily he hasn't found the beer stache

That is like, mega-douche move. Seriously, if I had an RA friend pull some shit like that on me, you best believe I'd plant some drugs in his room. She should of said he brought the alcohol, tried to take advantage of her and when she refused he threatened to write her up and have her expelled.

That is basically what the RA i had was like.

Of course, merely having slightly more lax supervision, still did not prevent me from bringing a full five piece drumset w/ cymbals and a pretty loud amp and setting them up in the tiny room. People fucking hated me. Didn't last very long though. Eventually another floor's RA shut me down. He was pretty cool about it though.
