Re: Google turned their page into a bathysphere...
They would take it easily, as much of Apple's brand strength lies within its perceived and advertised exclusivity, i.e. in its "think different" BS.
Too flimsy of a basis, IMO to expect to rule in a supreme domination battle.
Apple is poised IMO to become more of a well known purveyor of solid but pricey shit, and less of the king of all things shiny/nifty new electronic that they have been known for of late. Think of how Alienware was a few years back vs. how they are now. That change has less to do with Dell, and more to do with the section of the market they chose to focus on from the start, in my opinion. 'Boutique' anything is a difficult business model above a certain number of units sold. I think Apple is pretty close to being there, and a slightly bigger iPAAAD or whatever isn't going to change it.
Google is just going to own all of us. They know where we live, what we do, what we fear, and what kind of weird porn we are into. I am just waiting for the update to Google Earth that lets you rifle through your neighbor's closets and shit.
Seriously, who the fuck can really trust a corporation with a motto as ominous as "Do No Evil". Fucking whaaaaaatt?
