So the thing here is that... I signed up for this thing on Reddit called Redditgifts, where you are randomly assigned someone who you send a gift to, based on a profile they made and the shit they've posted. And someone will do that for me too. So I made a song. For a guy named ChickenWing84, who does martial arts and is a doctor and likes to run.

I guess some feedback on the mix would be nice before I put it in the mail to this guy...

Drums:

Kick: Trigger from Yamaha DTExplorer
Snare: Avantone ADM on top, i5 below... on my Pearl Sensitone. The snare came out really good I think! Actually it kind of sounds like a trigger to me.
Toms: SM57 and SM58
Overheads: AT2020s. I used the ORTF positioning. I think I'm done using that method, it seems to accentuate the crashes too much.

Bass: DI, the thing where you have a clean bass and then you double it with a tightly filtered distorted one.

I are enjoyed this. Nice vox whenufap

Drums all over sound quite excellent. Cymbals sound good to me too.

Vocal mix is a little odd to me, but i can't 100% place what it is. Maybe needing a little highpass? I don't know, but it seems to be losing something in clarity somewhere. For being so loud in the mix, they still seem to me to be pushed back a little. I think maybe battling low ends, as your kick is pretty thumpy too.

Overall, a really nice sounding recording, especially WRT to it being almost all real drums.

Okay... I adjusted the vocal EQ.

Gives me a vibe like when I listen to The Offsprings first album.
