I bought an air compressor yesterday. A $52 Wally World special. It compresses air, but at a considerably slower rate than something as menial as filling up a tire uses the air. I guess it'll work for a while...

Just got home from work. It is 11pm on a sunday. Was in a courthouse since 6pm inspecting asbestos removal work. Which involves
~10 minutes of inspection "yeah its clean enough, spray it down with fixant" or "its not clean enough, wipe that bitch down again"
~1 hour of waiting for fixant to dry (aka: set up the microscope, and then play sudoku until eyes bleed)
~15 minutes of setting up air pumps for testing,
~1 hour of waiting for pumps to catch enough air
~10 minutes removing filters from pumps to get them ready for testing
~5 minutes/filter to prepare them for testing (involves hypodermic syringes, a scalpel, some chemicals... all the good stuff) and putting them onto microscope slides
~5-10 minutes/slide depending on dirtyness to analyze them for asbestos fibres
~whatever to give the go ahead to the contractors to take down the plastic sheeting. I didnt mention this before, but we had 5000 sq. feet of hallway, floor AND walls wrapped in plastic. Shit was trippy as balls.

Oh and everytime we enter the enclosure aka: plastic wrapped hall, we have to get into a tyvek suit and wear a respirator with particulate filters.

Yarr, we had to do the asbestos thing when we replaced the huge asbestos-clad ancient furnace in this house. They made that whole section of the basement look like a sci-fi set with all the plastic wrap. I wanted them to leave it that way, but they said they had to take it with the rest of the trash. :sad:

I was thinking more of putting on the air sprayer attachment and spraying Trace Adkins in the eyes with 110psi of freshly compressed landfill gas.

Moving at the end of the month. Getting my new truck on tuesday. Stoked.

4.75 bands is starting to take it toll on me. I have just a few gigs left with one so that will bring me back down to 4, one that rarely gigs but I still need to learn the rest of the material, and catching up on the new one. Also bands tend to make me consume more alcohol which in turn makes me more tired during working hours... maybe I should just give up this work thing

I second that notion. Work is for the peasantry. Pay someone to manage your estates.

I am putting things in boxes, writing on those boxes and then moving them around.
