I do believe that to my advantage I don't live where electronic music is main stream and thus my ears have yet to be over saturated by teh warble warble... Just like any genre, there's the good, the bad and the WTFISINMYEARSTURNITOFF!!!!!!!!

Fugazi's End Hits, and it is fantastic.

It really is. I think that and Red Medicine are my favourite Fugazi rekkidz right now.

They are the best.

The Argument is also quite solid though, definitely growing on me of late.

Indeed. I don't like the production on The Argument as much as the older stuff though, it sounds a bit dull/congested. May just be that I got a crappy version though, I need to buy them all as cds really given how much I listen to them.

Hmm, i would definitely seek out a nicer copy. If anything, i might say that The Argument is a slightly slicker production than the two preceding. IMO, it is actually quite similar production-wise to End Hits, but with actually for my tastes a couple maybe improvements, for instance, i like the snare sound on it perhaps a little more.

Fugazi is actually one of the last bands that i actually bought real live physical CD copies for. I even have Red Medicine and an EP or two on vinyl.

In FACT. I have to check for the cassette, but my love of Red Medicine may have resulted in my acquisition of all three available originally commercially offered release formats?

That was pretty much my favorite record above all others for several years, up until it eventually gave way to Spiritualized's Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space...

I really gotta check out that Spiritualized album.. What kind of noises does it make?

Awesome orchestral spacey claustrophobic dense chaotic droney poppish music with random church-style choirs and then Dr John?

They don't have the tune i am looking for to poasting on the youtube.

The album goes a few different places though anyhow, so it is hard to just plop one track and say 'it sounds like this'. One really needs to just DL a decent bitrate copy of it and listen from front to back.

You might hate it. I think it is crazynutssuperawesome though.

But yeah it's a fine album. I highly enjoy it, but it is damn difficult to describe to someone.

Stoked to check it out, now that it's been described I hope it has the same effect on me Yes' Close To The Edge had on me. Smoke some drugz, throw on some phones and you're no longer on earth.

It is that kind of album, IMO. Responds well to headphones or just crazyshitcranked speakers. Lots of stuff hidden in the mix that gradually appears with excessive volume.

I don't even do drogas, and i still space the fuck out when i listen to it.

But yeah, try and get a good quality copy of it, 320kbps or CD ideally.

All that Spiritualized talk has got me listening to stuff from that album on youtubez. Pretty fucking awesome, I must say.

Youtube has a lot of the demos and b-sides, but aside form the long-ass (awesome) song Cop Shoot Cop, and maybe one or two others(I Think I'm In Love?), i didn't see too many of the album trax. Also the video of the title track featuring Eternal Sunshine visual clips, is some lesser version, maybe a demo, maybe something specially done for that movie? The album version is far superior, IMO...

If you dig what you hear in the videos that are up there, definitely seek out a full copy in a good bitrate.

Yeah the album is pretty much superior to everything I have found on the 'Tubes.
