preordered BF3 ages ago. Can't wait to play on release day

Oct 17: go to ottawa to do building survey as well as supervise an asbestos encapsulation project. Budgeted for 2 days total to complete survey, 3 weeks for encap project. Building is so damaged and so loaded with asbestos, survey takes a full 11 days, 12 hours a day. I am literally surveying from the hours of 9pm-9am to get this bullshit done, at the same time as i inspect and oversee the asbestos encap project.

Oct 25: i missed the only thing i was looking forward to this month. BF3 release date. Im stuck in a roach motel in fucking ottawa. I FUCKING HATE OTTAWA

Oct 26: 2am. Attacked by a drunk. Guy leveled me, straight out came up to me, and threw me to the ground. I kicked him so hard in the nards with a steeltoe boot hes not going to be having kids. Strange part is, after i did that, he helped me up and apolgized. What the fuck is wrong with ottawa?
Oct 26: 11am. Finally finish the goddamn work of the worst night of my life, finished the police report, walk by to my vehicle to see the passenger window smashed and all the electronics stolen from the vehicle. fucking. great.
Oct 26: 1:30pm. drive to a garage, get the car cleaned and window replaced. time to completion: 1 hour, 200$. This was my first hour of sleep since 9pm earlier.

October 28, 3pm. Fucking finished the goddamn fucking survey oh my fucking god. Leave ottawa at 5pm. Hit ottawa rush hour. Hit belleville construction traffic. Have an extended dinner at a truck stop, get home at 11pm. First time ive been home in approximately 11 days. Preload BF3, play for 1 hour. insert more weekend/seeing girlfriend/doing stupid shit with grandparents who love to take 4 hours to eat lunch (waste time while i have things to do - i'm a working man, i want a social life while im not in canada's asshole aka ottawa)

October 31, 1pm. Start the drive back to ottawa. Get there at 7, check in at hotel, eat food at mall, show up on site at 8:45pm. Another all nighter ahead supervising this bullshit.

this week goes pretty well, things go decently fast, but the people who put together the buidling that we're trying to fix up were fucking retards so all of the tin ceiling tiles are different sizes ranging from 4 inches squared to 8 feet squared. We have to caulk every seam.

November 4. 7am. Contractor: "Sorry bro, we arent going to be done this week, what should have been really easy was a fucking whore because the people who put up these tiles did it in the least efficient way possible and we have to make it air tight." me: "i dont blame you bro, i blame this shitshow of a fucking building. why cant we just burn it down? Oh yeah: because its laoded with asbestos and fireproofed to fuck. Fucker wont burn"

November 4: 6:30pm. having driven all the way back to toronto, spend a lovely evening with my girlfriend
november 5: 1am. make it home. turn on bf3 for the second time. Get in my second hour since release date. I have a total of like 100 kills, some people already have 8000. do people fucking sleep? this shit is turning into WOW.




TLDR: ottawa is a shitholle, never go there, and i missed many days of potential battlefield play.

Abnormality full length recording started today. Woooo!

Chris, of course, comes through as a proper champion. All I needs to recreate the fat lot of bullshit I might want to re-record is acquired.

Also, JFKFC that is a depressing song. Vocal harms on the original are not glossy enough for what I want. I wonder WTF my solo record will sound like, LOL IRL. Noise-pop.

EDIT: it also occurs to me here that it takes a... er, "special" kind of person to make major chords sound like kill yourself! miserable.

I played that game yestrday at my buddies house. Shit is soo much harder than cod. Aiming is a task in itself.

Having been engaged to a WOW addict and spent far too much time with Those Sorts Of Gamers, totally not cool. Don't even want to go into it.

Probably a big reason why I'm so isolated these days- I spent a large portion of my life around gamers; that was my crew, gamers, theater people, etc. I want nothing to do with their shit. They turned into the stereotype, I turned into their character. (Oddly enough I'm the responsible less sketchy one who doesn't live with their parents at 30... And I've done what there is to do IRL.) I quit art school, I had a career. I had a long-term partner and a home. And I did it all and found it all wanting. And the next time you judge me... but that's me going off on a rant.

Only related via their "sugar cereal"-ness: they had Frankenberry and Booberry at the supermarket a couple days ago, and i didn't buy any. Which was stupid, because immediately on return from the store, all i wanted was Frankenberry or Booberry. I might have to see if they have any left today.

When it's there, Acquire It. I'm thinking Jen and I missed out on the Halloween makeup- I mean, blue sparkle lipstick? Now on the more normal things, like duck bacon- I do not eat of teh meats, but when it's three bucks a pound, well, now my housemate has a freezer full of ex-ducks. We have blue potatoes too, because Messr. Carlin was on to something. And they were on sale.

god damn dude, read full version - hopefully the next month will be better. Well it would have to be better.

I am doing 3 camera video shoots this evening for 2 of my bands. In a real production studio. Hmmm, not the same as doing a pron shoot I'm guessing, but maybe?
