Re: The 2011 "What did ya get?" Thread hmmm, our xmas thing is all about my kids. My chick and I were going to buy a new TV, out current one is real small, I don't watch much, but she watches stuff. Don't know if we are really going to buy it or not, bills are piling up. I did get a ridiculous deal on a small combo from musicians friend, they were allow coupon stacking, (a mistake) and got my order in before they realized so I got a Jet City 1-12 20 watt combo for $180. I wanted to try one, and can probably flip it for close to that if I want.
so wat did you loot out?

I got home from the store last night to find a large wreath emblazoned with a large octopus on the door.  My housemate and I will have things for each other, but they have been acknowledged to wait 'til next month. In lieu of stuff, she got pomegranates.

I started reading Bossypants on it, and that is quite good. I also got The Chicago Manual of Style. BUT, I gave myself a little present this year ....   It rawks.

It is pretty much the traditional setup but with a basswood body. I was a bit concerned about that but I played it unplugged in the store and it sounded nice. Plugged it into a little vox and the controls are all nice and smooth, and function well. Plays nice but I am sure the store gave it a setup before putting it on the floor.
It plays quite nicely.

Re: The 2011 "What did ya get?" Thread That's a pretty nice looking guitar  I got the usual - money, clothes, chocolate and a couple of dvds. Money has gone towards my new iPod Touch which will be perfect for watching films, tv shows and surfing teh internets in my unreasonably long breaks at work.
