Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
yarp it's pretty fun, we don't really have big hills round here but Woburn is full of loads of short (20 seconds max) dh/jump runs like that, a lot of them cross each other so you can link them and ride "new" trails each time Aren't you in Leicester some time this year? This place is only an hour down the motorway from there, you should visit and ride it on my spare bike

I will most likely be there within the next couple of months. The dude who mixes our stuff is a big time DH rider so were gnna hit some trails. Would be sick if all of us started shredding together.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
That would be cool Sadly I no longer have my spare bike as of this afternoon, running an xc rim on the back of a hardtail isn't good when you're doing drops and stuff and it now has a crack from where I straightened out a dent

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Listening to what I'm considering a legit final mastrar of the Dimensions Divide EP...
As I might have mentioned before I have a rather dismal monitoring situation but I tried to EQ it as smartly as I could.
I suppose I might pass it on to any other members here with critical ears and fancy speakers, and they can tell me if it's too ___ ?

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Okay. I'll send you the revision, which I will also send to Curtis again.
Edit: As soon as it's uploaded.
Maybe it's the booze but I have a good feeling about this one.
I've been basically coming home once a week, tweaking it, going back downtown with my MP3 player (my mix monitoring device), coming back a week later to tweak again... since January...
It's reading week so I had a chance to overhaul this sucker.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I totally understand that. We're taking the Garda stuff to the big studio next Tuesday for a last outside opinion and whatnots with Our Guy Over There. I always like going anyhow, so I have no problem with that; much geektalk occurs. My current interim project is making a solo record out of my "best of" from 2008-10 ; I have a couple weeks to track guitars and whatnot while one of our band members is out of town and stuff gets prepared for release. I'mma do the remap thing and track at home; I'm curious to see if I can coax feedback out of stuff (probably by using way too much gain on the amp sims) as apparently you can reamp feedback after all. Oh, and I got your PM with the DD stuff; I'll report back when it's a suitable hour to put it through proper speakers at proper volume. On an unrelated note, because I am a giant dork, I put the newest, official releases of the old Marathon trilogy on here, with the updated graphics from the XBox Live versions. So the only games I have on my Beastmaschine are, basically, from the '90s.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I feel like I need to get back into guitarring more regularly. I can feel my playing slipping a bit but I don't seem to want to play nearly as much as before I'll play for half hour almost out of guilt then get bored. It's a sad time I still want a bass, maybe that will re-ignite some guitar fire

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
A little quiet compared to other stuff (as usual, ugh) but it does sound like I couldn't have any other complaints, on my MP3 player and now on these average sounding PC speakers. And Curtis seems to approve. Maybe it's time to call this thing done!

http://soundcloud.com/epitaph-records/s ... es/s-KSLFB The entire album is streaming... and I am digging blastbeats. As usual. They kind of remind me of Glassjaw. I really like the way they recorded the drums.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
This sounds way heavier than older stuff so far. Not sure if I like it as much so far. Needs moar grooves. edit - few more songs into it now and I'm liking it. I still don't think they'll top The Big Dirty though

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Well, my schedule is semi-backwards again. I fell asleep last night after getting back from the guitar store and wherever else and got up some time a bit after 2. Currently spending the day getting the arrangements down for my solo record so I can start tracking guitars proper sometime in the morningnight. .gif) ...and I'm realizing even with everything in standard (a lot of these were originally in Eb or C#) I'm still using three different tunings on the bass- BEAD, drop D, and a 5-string in standard for some of the funk stuff.

Ohh. How long have you had your rat? And you have just the one? Let's start from there, shall we? (I've kept rats before.)

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
We got her from the pet store on Sunday. She's three months old. She's by herself in her cage. She seems to get along very well with my girlfriend who is very experienced with rats... but the rat and I are both a bit more wary of each other, seeing as I've never had a pet before...
If she's doing something and I show up in the living room it's like she's been caught in the act and she freezes, and then if I approach she will flee for cover. If she's just chilling though she will not seem to object to petting and other attention, though I haven't the courage to pick her up yet and pop her on my shoulder like my girlfriend does.
