I exploded an opamp IC today in class. It blew up in my damn face, and I was powerful startled.

I did that to an LM386 once. It is just a regular old DIP8, and completely out of force of habit on the breadboard i wired the ±v like it was a regular old opamp. But it is totally not a regular old opamp, and so it exploded. One of (too) many times i have said to myself, "ah, good thing i wear glasses".

hiked/biked up and down Snowdon in Wales last week, it was awesome. Pics to follow when I can be arsed to sort through my camera. And today I gave myself a deep shin cut from my bikes pedal thanks to a dodgy rooty corner riding at the forest of dean. It's the worst shinner I've had to date and won't stop bleeding, I think I may consider buying a full knee/shin pad now rather than just my softshell knees

Bass Destroyer came to my rehearsal yesterday and watched as Unstrung became too drunk too play... we also had one of those cacophonous jams where everyone is playing the wrong instrument...

Joined a new band on guitar... moar slam, in fact it is with the drummer of Envenomation, it is the band he and the bass player started when Enveno broke up. They be wanting a piece of this after all. Mwahaha.

Smashing it on the road bike this week, my average on Sunday was 20mph and today 23.4mph, personal bests Endomondo is messing up the graphs with speed spikes of 70-100mph though, but using good old fashioned maths the average speeds still seem accurate as I doubt the stopwatch timer is affected by poor gps signal and I think they just use google maps to calculate distance

Good work sir my PBs are a way off that kind of average but I still need to shift 8 or 9 kilos of chub so thats to be expected. I've clocked 30+ on the flat a few times now which I'm happy with and I've done 260 miles on it since I bought a trip computer for it a month ago.

Tracking drums is not as easy as I imagined, even if it's a simple ass song.

Fuck, I want to go back to Toronto. Tha shis cray.
