Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
So I finally got an 'in face: meeting with a Maplitonian! We raise our glasses to BELT and drank! Yeah - worst gig I've done in at least 2 years. Sound man never plugged that bass into the board either (He plueed the XLR into the wireless input for my bassist) (WTF????), and he didn't run my acoustic into the board so we skipped some songs that needed it. We dropped about 4 songs overall. He was shitfaced before we started, I knew that was going to be trouble. Our drummer was throwing sticks at him from the stage. NIce to meet you Rob!

Next time you guise play a show in the city let me know. I'd love to not be the only person standing there in the audience. That bar was a real shithole.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
The left output on my Alesis QS6 is non-functional at the moment, and I have no contact cleaner. Also, the only MIDI cable currently at my house is also non-functional. And the USB cable I'm using to attach my Novation to my 'puter is too damn short to put said Novation where I want it, and hooking it up via the MIDI I/O on my inyourface is pointless because... I'm seeing a trend here. And right now, that trend is making me say "fuckit, I'm going to sit on the internet for the rest of the night".

Brewed up a nice pot of weed coffee. I have been trying to find edible alternatives to smoking but when you have a massive tolerance most of this shit just does not cut it, but this coffee is pretty dank.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
How the fuck does that work. You just put it in a standard coffee machine? How is it supposed to brew out the THC?

Hopefully you have your own coffee pot. They have a tendency to retain the flavor and residue of whatever you brew in them. If you made weedcoffee in mom and dad's coffee maker, they might not be too pleased.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
From what I have been explained by the dudes who work at the particular dispensary I bought this from is that: they basically cook the weed into the beans as they are being ground down. You can see the oils swirling around in the coffee, clearly separate from the water. It's pretty awesome. Bomb coffee too, not just some fucking Folgers with weedz in it.

You can barely taste/smell the bud because the coffee is such an overpowering substance. I brewed it and drank it while my dad was in the kitchen talking to me.

Oh, and: My parents don't drink coffee besides that fancy Starbucks shit anyways, so no worries.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Shitty Monday was extra shitty... On my way to buy some Chinese with my girl friend, there is this intersection where I have to make a left turn. There used to be a stop sign and about a month or two ago they put a stop light there. Well, guess who took the intersection as a stop sign (out of 7+ years of habit) right in front of a cop car? $250

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
I started Couch to 5k today and I feel ok, but my right knee and hip are aching a bit Running seems to be a good workout, 20 minutes of that and I'm quite fucked. I wonder if I'll be able to walk tomorrow.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
Was convinced to job 4.4k yesterday and I feel fine, after being on my ass all winter. I think it's the shoes. They are very springy. My ankles and shins feel fine.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
yarp I'm just running in old vans with thin soles which probably don't help on the road bits If I start to enjoy it I might invest in some better running shoes.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
You will most likely hurt yourself before you start enjoying it, if you are going to be trying to run any distance without proper shoes. In general, if your joints or shins are getting fucked up, don't continue in the same fashion. Whether that means getting proper shoes, or whether that means not pushing as hard, whatever. I have found that pushing through certain types of ache/pain is not a good idea over the long term. Ankles, knees, elbows, i have jobbed all of them in the past, and none of them will do what they were once capable of anymore as a result. And i never ran or anything, either. Running in general is already a form of exercise that can be pretty brutal and damaging to the knees and feet. If you are going to do that, at least get proper shoes for it. Trust me, you don't want bad joint shit to get worse. You are probably young enough to minimize future problems too.

Re: Blog/tweet about shit in your life here
That would be the sensible thing to do I suppose. I'm going to see what I'm like after week 1 and then think about changing shoes. I was thinking I might be ok if I stick to only running on a soft field and leave the road bit for my warm up/down walks
