Mine's a cool finish. In some lights it looks deep cherry red but in sunlight it's more orangey/brown which looks infinitely more badass.

Also you should get a Laney GH, just because they're awesome amps.

SG w/ small pickguard = sex. A really worn to shit brown/natural colour is also quite spectacularly menacing on an SG.

I prefer the smaller pickguard ones as well but actually quite like the larger one, its grown on me. Just been getting round to writing some moar new riffage, it must come in bursts as I haven't been this musically productive for quite some time.

Personally, never been a red guitar fan, have never been an SG fan. I can appreciate both and I do have a red Jr. Bodies always felt too thin on an SG for me. My friend has a wonderful 1986 62 RI which plays great. I had it for a while when it was being repaired. Played flawlessly. I can see why so many people get along with them.

I too saw the mothership ad, I am tempted, but I think I am going to try to say up for another LP. Thinking either a white or black custom for the Izzy role.

I am really tempted to say screw refinishing the project strat, and just redo all the electronics with a new guard. I might sand down the neck though.

Hmm. For some reason i think i have the parts for a tor fuzz around. I meant to build myself one, but never got around to it(maybe i ran out of vero? i don't remember).

Anyhow, the parts between the two are pretty similar, and i could prolly build a ICBM out of what i have, though i think i already put the torfuzz holes(more pots) in the box i have here, so would need to get a new one of those.

But it could work mayhap.
