The classic custom is a LP custom but for teh cheeps. Classic custom looks, yet a baked maple fretboard, not what I would go for first pick, but I've heard good things about it, and honestly, with the overdrive I'm using a fretboard has so little to do with my tone compared to amp, guitar wood etc.

That is a pretty damn sexy guitar right there.

I feel like it might be worth trying to find a used one though. I don't know enough about LPs but I have seen a few on HC:

yeah I am a huge time lurker on the TGP and HC classifieds. I'm really out for a custom this time around, my favorite is my current Desert Burst but besides the 135/137 Izzy did tele (which I have, exaclty like his) and white and black LPC's. so since I feel the best around LP's when not playing tele's having a LPC tuned to Eb at all times would be nice for me.

That LP looks Doap in white. I actually generally enjoy many/most white guitars. I also generally enjoy the manner in which they fade to off-white.

Well it was between it and the strat for a while. The strat was just a much nicer guitar, but it is my brothers so I don't feel like lugging it up to Raleigh considering the JM kinda handles that noise now. I was going to take the tele with me, but since I got the offer and I wanted the Charvel it made sense, plus the Charvel is getting shipped to my new address so one less thing to carry. My goal is to only have to take the JM and my big amp up to Raleigh, but with only a couple days left that seems unlikely.

To further that point, people are still bitching about not getting amps from Mark Cameron.

But of course; it is like a fraternity, all secret handshakes and familiar coded rites and exchanges. The Eight Acceptable Post Subjects are certainly more about acceptable identity-formation than about any actual interest in those eight subjects.

Similarly, the forced meme-like Ten Acceptable Responses, which are expected/required so that one might show one's specific affiliation at a glance and in a language that the group can easily understand.

I mean, many/all forums and clicques have that sort of thing. I just guess that i am impressed that they have been able to keep it rolling, on the same exact track, for so long, even as they have lost their most colorful members, the TOSs, the Snaxofortes, etc. Though, actually, now as i think of it, that makes complete sense. Those who might posses any ability to think sideways and create new subjects and directions for discussion or warfare, have left or been forcibly removed, and in their wake, only the dullest types remain, and they are easily contented, especially now they know what to say and how to say it.

I mean, maybe it is simply the TYPE of consistency that i am not into, rather than the fact of consistency itself. I mean, things don't change wildly around here so much either? But then, we are also still the same basically ten people, with the same types of wrongthoughts. HC has so much fresh blood, comparatively. Probably explains the high quantity of leeches, i guess.
