Board Up The House is a damn solid popsludgemetal tune.

Popsludgemetal? That's a new one even on me. I can't say I'm not intrigued.

I would check it, it is like.. Poppy vocal melodies with the typical downtuned Baroness guitar sound with more happy-ish riffs. Shit sounds fairly glorious to my ears. Also, epic drum sound.

And I guess I shouldn't make it sound like they are/were just a sludge metal band, it's like.. Sludge mixed with 70's guitar harmony type stuff like Thin Lizzy. 'Tis a sound I am very fond of.

Heavily distorted string section makes that SO much better than the punk rock toofast shouted version that my friends and i used to do in high school.

...and holy fuck, does Goodbye Pork Pie Hat sound a-friggin'-mazing on the ADAMs. The detail on the saxes is incredible.

Yarr, it has got to either be a remaster thing, or possibly, a squishy tape thing.

It is funny, that most of my favorite sounds, i first heard on cassettes, but i haven't listened to the things in many many years. Tapes are very imprecise in their low end reproduction, kind of sloppy really, and i think that i might miss that. It may be time to repair a cassette player.
