'Tis the plan for tomorrow! Gonna record some 'lectric geetarsz and acoustic, and maybe some drums depending. But I am still waiting for the ribbon to arrive.

The speakers are "specially designed" Jensens, I think it's whatever's in the HRDs? I am pretty sure they are the stock speakers. Also, WR humbuckers in the Tele. I have been pretty much jamming solely in the middle position all day. Shit sounds awesome, it has this snappy percussive type thing that I am quite into for a lot of things, even really distorted stuff. Though, the bridge alone might sound better for certain (and more aggressive) sounds.

Welp, I guess they couldn't be stock actually. I forgot about the Eminence Inside badge just above the grill clothe. I dunno where Devin got those speakers from, I kinda remember talking to him about it when he got them now that I am thinking..

Just take the back of the cab off and look at the speakers. Eminence speakers are labeled.

It's an open back cab, the speaks are Jensens, and they sound good, but no idea where they originated from. I will see if I can ask the guy I bought them from.

I'd say that is a pretty accurate description. They are pretty fucking bright in "bright" mode on the LNT with the treble at moderate-ish settings. I tend to find myself using the bright mode more than thick, which has more gain and well, thickness. Will get some recording done when I am done with my adult choresponsibilities for the day..

Fuckin' A, I forgot just how good new strings on the ol' bass fiddle sound.

And a fresh battery for the EMGs, too. Proper EMGs, not the HZ jobbers. No weird 3-band EQ nonscents, just two volumes and a tone like a proper Jazz Bass should have. Even just straight into the line in on my inyourface I'm getting a usable tone, which I was decidedly not before. And the EQ on the Sansamp can't really compensate for deceased strings.

I might, er, have to track a lot of bass in the very near future.

I've come to the conclusion- again- I'm completely incapable of regulating my schedule like a normal human being. I can brute-force it with outside influence (ie. legitimate work), habitual substance abuse or both (generally both) but even then I need the former as a reason for the latter, otherwise it's rarely enough (I don't have enough self-loathing, it seems) and merely gets integrated into the 36-hour day somewhere in lesser amounts to no practical effect. Now, I do have times I'm normally productive on Earth days, but they're entirely dependent on when I get up. I'm more likely to accomplish things if I wake up earlier in the normal 24-hour Earth day, regardless of what time said things are accomplished or how long I've been awake.

And with a normal human working-for-other-people-based schedule, I'm either up 'til four anyhow, or collapse within an hour or two after getting home.

Right now I'm in getting up at 5 PM and doing fuckall useful mode, and very irritated because of it. It rotates on a random basis. Sigh.

One of my dogs decided to try and rip his ear off, now he has to wear a huge elizebethan collar for a week.

More people should wear big silly Elizabethan collars. And/or the cone things they put on dogs.
