Just wanted to say I hope none of my maps people got it too too bad. That really is a fuck ton of snow, but I figure that something like that is about the same as a hurricane for me. Big storm but we know how to handle it.

Every time I see the poop fist picture, I stop and wonder who has the most retarded name and I realise I simply can't choose.

That really shouldn't make me laugh, because it's in very bad taste. It's some teenage band picture against someone's parents' garage door. That doesn't make it any less funny, though, because I am a horrible person. Baron Gunter von Prolapse is pretty quality, but Anal Samuelson would make a great username.

As an aside, it's my housemate's birthday today. I really do feel bad for her. Mine often falls on Presidents' Day, and no one makes a big deal out of that- it's a fluctuating bank holiday. This though, is rather unfortunate.

WHAT THE FUCKING FUCK. Just looked at the back of my tele after playing it for awhile and noticed the fucking ferrule for the D string popped out. WTF? The ball of the string got fucking sucked way deep into the body and is embedded in there deep.. I have no idea how or when this happened, I can't recollect a time when I lost a bunch of tension on the D and was kept continually tuning it up to try to get pitch. And I certainly didn't put a new string in there like that, so that means the ball would have had to have broken through the ferrule and then it would have popped out..?



I apparently have been playing like this and haven't noticed it..?

I CANNOT FIND THE FUCKING FERRULE. AND I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I AM GOING TO GET THIS FUCKING STRING OUT OF THIS FUCKING BODY WITHOUT HURTING IT. SWEET MOTHER OF FUCK WHAT IS HAPPENING.

Imma guess that mayhap the ferrule dropped out on a string change and mayhap you didn't notice it at the time? I would be extreeeeemely surprised if the ferrule broke and fell out. Those shits are pretty solid.

However, sometimes they do get loose in the body and can fall out on string changes. If you are real unlucky you might have not seen it connected to the string still, and then chucked it.

For getting the string out, try putting a string or some stiff wire in the front and see if you can't dislodge it. The D string is biggish so you might even be able to get a coat hanger or something like that in the front. Maybe an awl. Or a little screwdriver like you would use on a pair of glasses or a watch case. EDIT: ne'er mind.

I've been playing my bass like that, too. I still have the ferrule, though; last time I re-strung it it caught on one of the old strings without my noticing.

Buffalo has also once again proven itself to be not a small town, but rather, a big room.

Yeah, that's gotta be unlikely as all get out, but I don't feel like I would have missed that. And it's been a sort of shameful amount of time since I have changed strings..

Mostly, I am just real annoyed at having to order another ferrule (or more likely 6). And I do not enjoy the idea of some shit like that going on with my guitar. Looks like the Mustang will be getting some love the next few days.
