Just make sure you order the same type of ferrules. There are a few different types used on different teles and some of them are different sizes, or are meant to mount flush, or have ridges on the outside edge, or whatever.

Most of them are the same, but different ones do exist, so just be aware of it and make sure what you order looks like what is in your geetar.

Even some of the weird punk that I write is too complicated or demanding of left hand dexterity for me to play well.

Just got some riff ideas down for the first time in a while. Really Opeth and Mastodon inspired this time I think. I just realised I have a massive folder called "riff ideas" that I really need to do something with. I just hate programming drums right now, it's too tedious. If I didn't have to do that I'd probably have all of them turned into usable demo tracks.

Now, i admit to being Quite An Asshole when intoxicated. It is one of the reasons i generally do not like getting there at all. Not so much the shouted offensive language, but i mainly start to lose the ability to keep my very asshole observations inside my face, particularly as they pertain to complete strangers. Now, sober, i could probably fend off many equal and opposite reactions this mouth control diminishment might incite, but if i am drunk enough to say it, i am generally too drunk to really have much of an upper hand in anything, unless i just happen to choose to be an asshole to someone somehow drunker than i.

Easiest solution by far, is sobriety. Anyhow, i become very dull any other way. Like, not sharp. It impedes my ability to think about all of the things at once that i generally like to. I start talking in cliches and being really mean to strangers. Kind of like almost everyone else on a night in boston during the school season.

Sounds about right. Now, I have a Perspective on These Things, largely because I'm the sort of alcoholic who is/was used to being drunk 24/7. The sort that has to get liquored up to feel normal- like, actual cogent coherent feels like sober and sober feels unwell normal, and the sort that can walk around in a state of acute alcohol poisoning and appear to be perfectly fine, given a Good Long While of this. That's bad.

It does still hit pleasure centres in my brain, but in a sort of inconsequential way. Once I really start to feel it, it's bypassed the fun and into talkative (this is usually fun, though it takes a bit), paranoid, weepy, and fall over in that order. It's been Some Time since it's gotten to the last bit.

Age has mellowed me, which helps. I don't hate the sober me anymore, which helps. Because frankly, That Guy Was A Dick.

Logic should dictate the tension and feel of the strings on my Frankenstang should be more slinky and loose than the exact same strings on my longer scale length Telecaster. Yet, with tons of sets of the same string gauge/brand, this guitar (the stang) has always felt more stiff and generally more fighty. Shit is bizarre.

I have perceived higher tension with shorter scales as well. I don't know why this is. Only that it happens sometimes.

Percieved difference is likely to be a function of string action, methinks. Between string action and fret size, anyhoo.

My shortscale biz is floppy like a mofo compared to my tele. I do set them up nearly identically though, so this is how it should be, between those guits.

So I actually got around to prototyping my top down shooter RPG.

Right now I am just prototyping the combat mechanics, but I decided to use Unity as just a content pipeline for all my assets, and coded 2D Physics to work on top of Unity's 3D Environment. Most of the code is geared toward dumbing down the Unity Engine to work in 2D space using basic directions. Though it is all using super ugly and basic placeholder sprites. I need an artist can animate sprite frames.

Sometimes manic is worse than depress'd. If I could calm the fuck down, I would probably get a lot done. As it stands, I can barely type. Re-read Terry Pratchett and stare at the wall, I suppose, until rehearsal tomorrow eve.
