Yeah the new Nails fucking destroys. Man. The blasts are like a bomb is exploding. A lot more death metal influence on this one, IMO... like lots of double bass and such. And a big Morbid Angel tribute at the end of the title track.

That joe jackson record is fucking awesome. For quite a while there i wanted to cover Target and/or Cancer. Then i kind of realized that i don't really do covers...

Hearing the rhythm section panned hard left does not bother me. (I like the vocalist as well.) There's a lot of space in the mix for all the random shit that's going on. I rather like this, and honestly I don't spend much time with that decade re: rockmusics. Approved.

Yarr, i was pleasantly surprised by that. I do listen to a lot from this era, so i hardly even notice the hardpanned drums at all anymore (in troof, i didna note them befoe you said it) being that it is such a common trait on discs from that time.

Aslo, because i do listen to a fair bit from this era, it was additionally surprising to hear a band that i didn't know previously, that was not a pile of shit. There is a huge amount and an easily robust majority, of unknown/lesserknown bands from the late 60s/early 70s, that possess really every godamned reason available, to be and remain, unknown.

This wasn't one of those. And the singer kind of reminds me in places of Colin Blunstone, which i am into.

Anyone with eyes and ears should watch this.

Sounds and looks more than a bit like Steve Austin(not the wrestler) had something to do with it.

I still say that, as a dude who did not care to follow them into their Miss Machine era, in general it sounds much better than any of the other recent shit of theirs.

Huh, I actually liked that, and I've never been into them. Interesting. There are production elements I like as well. I may have to czech this out for when I'm in the mood for violence.

Bro, I have friends/know MANY acquaintances that semi-unironically love this shit. There is a very bizarre embrace of this kind of music in the younger hardcore/DM crowd here. It is like, this anti-pretention movement, that ultimately just makes those involved look like they just have bad taste in music. They claim to not take music seriously, that they're just trying to have fun and ignore what someone might think of them and whatnot. IMO what it ends up looking like is: They just enjoy shit pop music in addition to whatever more obscure or aggressive stuff they typically rep in front of their peers.
