Indeed. Ms. Jessica is cool with this- it's not as if I bring in much money to begin with (I make about a quarter of what I used to, between lack of hours and low wages) and our rent will actually go down. My dad offered to pay for it, too- my folks are older and have money (my siblings are in their mid-40s; people are shocked to find out I'm north of 30 as I still look young.) and that's an offer I'm not about to turn down. Even Jess's mom, who is mother-in-law-from- approves of this.

And eventually I won't feel the odd one out among my IRL friends for not having finished college when most of them have either degrees in serious things like engineering or the sciences, or a masters or two, or some flavour of doctorate.

Oh yeah I got my ship shaded and coloured, loving the sails. Apparently the seafoamy green bits will show more when it's healed as the skin underneath is still red and swollen. Next on the list is a big ol' cutlass down the other side of my leg and maybe a hula girl with her hair wrapping round the handle and linking everything together who knew getting fun stuff drawn on you with a motorised needle was so enjoyable?

Big roll out at work that had to be rolled back, partially. I was supposed to have last Wed, Thurs and Friday off which I ended up working through, and driving to Killington, Vt, playing two shows and working between shows at the bandhouse remotely for 8 hours friday, 12 hours Sat, and while on the road driving back Sunday and going straight to the office. Highly stressed out, definitely need some time off. My last day off was Dec 8th.

The good thing about it was work wanted me available at all times so they bought me an iPhone and they are paying for the plan...

Getting some time off is great. I was spending way too much time at work with no justifiable effect or reason, the last couple/few months, and it was slowly destroying my mind. Now i have discussed it with most of the folks involved, and the last couple weeks if anything, has been the opposite problem, where out of both weeks i worked i think three and a half days. Which has been fantastic for my skull, but which unfortunately definitely would be tilting the balance a bit too far in the wrong direction for a person who needs to put SOME hours in for (paid) work so that he can buy heating oil and the like.

The problem of time off in a big block like that though, is that i didn't want to go back. Man, i think i am crazy. I like to work hard. But i don't like it at all, working for money.

Having an amount time off is great to unwind but getting back into work after is really hard. I dread going back about 2-3 days before, just about when I've really unwound. almost easier to just keep working.

Yeah I hate going back after a load of time off as well. I have 4 days off now and going back at the weekend is gonna suck I'll have to make up for it by getting obscenely drunk every night this week.

My ma got me an older model of a Blues Jr. for teh Xmas, which I have been told is better than the new ones. Shit is rad!

Hope you all had a good festive period I feel so sick from over eating absolutely everything. Now was definitely a good time to start bulking fo' muscle gainz though. I just hope I don't put on too much fat again. I think most of my intake has been turkey and sausages wrapped in bacon so at least it's proteinz

1.) Take leftover slices of christmas ham
2.) Apply salt rub to both sides
3.) Fry ham at medium temperature

I am very curious as to whether or not my hallucinations are going to continue to progress in the manner that they have been and if it is going to become terrifying just to have eyeballs.

But, on the brightside I have never felt so good about my playing ever and I just keep getting better. My ability to keep meter has greatly improved which is maybe my greatest weakness. Shit is rad, I am excited to see where that takes me in terms of writing.
