Tracked my guitars for a whole bunch of Garda stuff today. Mostly with a Mesa Electradyne, which is a damnfine amp if I do say so myself. And a little vintage Fender Super. Lots of Strat, lots of Tele, a good chunk (emphasis on chunk) of Les Paul, and even some PRS Custom 24. Z.Vex Box Of Rock and an EHX delay. My guitars are surprisingly dry for once. And in a couple cases, pretty damn gainy.

We did a bit of Chris's guitars as well and had some fun with Digitech iStomps. Their model of the old DOD Gonkulator ring modulator made it onto the record. Let it never be said we don't torture our guitars sometimes.

I am a fan of Custom 24. The classic PRS models have this mysterious growl to them which has always caught my ear.


Devin, this 7 string thing... it is... uncharacteristic of you, as far as I understand you and the instrument. It's like we're trading places... most of my playing lately is on a tele!

I'm selling both my Teles, and currently rock a Les Paul into a Mesa.

Mainly it comes from now I am in a band that requires a certain sound. The stuff I had doesn't really do that sound. So now I have to sell all that stuff and get all the new stuff.

It is fun with new projects, selling stuff and buying different stuffs to fill the need. Kinda like having a gear vagina and being very horny.....

hm so we finally found out the cause of my grandma's long string of health problems, looks like she has some variant of cancer called lymphocytic leukemia. According to the tests its been "stable" for at least a year now so hopefully it won't progress any further any time soon but you never know with the fucker that is cancer I guess. Sucks but she's still happy enough at the minute.

Is it just me, or is television news pretty much unwatchable? Stop shouting at me and speak like a normal human, Jeebus. Would not watch intentionally.

It's literally the worst.

Well, we have a 4-6 week old kitten that we didn't have six hours ago. This was, to say the least, unexpected, but unexpected small animals occur unexpectedly.

I think we've now officially crossed the Crazy Cat Person line as we now have four cats. Three is merely eccentric.

The cat found you. If you should keep it, it will love you to death.

The cat was given to us by a concerned citizen. Apparently it was being tortured by some rather nasty children who'd already killed several other animals. Poor girl is definitely malnourished and in need of a vet visit, but is definitely responsive to affection. She needs food and water and a safe place.

I was told she had a rope around her neck when they found her, and I'm concerned she might have an injury from that as she can't meow. She was sneezing a bit though, so it may be a respiratory thing. We were also concerned about her tail and her legs as she seemed a bit wobbly, her hind legs especially, but that may just be from lack of food and water. And she's very young, too. Still, she seems in remarkably good spirits given her current state, and is happily sitting on my legs preventing me from moving them, even though they've fallen asleep and I'd really like to.

And yeah, we're totally keeping her.
