I just really liked the late nineties.

I enjoy their catalogue, on the whole. Bit of a different perspective on electronica, one with strong rock influences and a profusion of guest appearences by rock artists from John Garcia to Peter Hook.

I myself have no beef with the '90s, as you may have noticed.

Of the more recent soul revivalist stuff that there seems to be a ton of right now, these are the first folks i have come across that i actually am into:



They actually sound right/old/awesome.

So many of my favorite sounds in one place.

The first four Bjork records, incessantly, for like 3 months now. Shit is bonkers.

Been listening to a lot of this dude lately:







For a little bit, my brain was doing that thing where i think someone is doing something better, that i wanted to do, but thankfully that stopped, because i hate it when my brain does it.

Really into the angle. On record, they kind of seem almost straight 60s rips, that take some cool corners.

Did a couple cool records with Ty Segall too.

The KEXP off them is something i have been digging particularly:



Live, some of the throwback stuff takes a back seat to the corners they take. I actually kind of like this live one more, well not more, but equally, but different, than the versions on the actual records:



With a band and band-friendly arrangements, it is just a bunch of cool rock.

It is a little different than her normal flavor(which i am a big fan of), and normally i don't go for the synthier/dancier flavor changes from shit that i like, but for some reason, i dug this one immediately. Looped it about three weeks straight i think.
